The Problem

I've come to a conclusion that the current world's problems are based on mostly apathy. I bet some people are thinking right now: "That's impossible, so many people feel the cause to give themselves away to help others like with Haiti! etc." I have news for you-those people who felt strong emotions to give in that single moment still suffer from apathy at least once-even when they were giving, they still suffered from it. I believe that a lot of people are "pressured" into giving because its the big thing to do now-a-days. And in giving away, I feel we've become apathetic to ourselves. So to sum up this small post, people can have different kinds of apathy-either to others, themselves, or God. If the world will start feeling the reality of this place, I think we all could get along better.

Land of the greedy

There are certain thing that show the true attitude of people here in the U.S., but i think that Christmas in the biggest mirror to our insides.

People all around are noticing That Christmas decorations are already up even though it's in November. I think this skipping over Thanksgiving is just us being a stereotypical America that other people talk about. In other words, we have Halloween (kids get candy-and sometimes adults), then we go straight to Christmas (the holiday when we receive a lot of our presents); but we skip right over Thanksgiving (the holiday to give thanks). Not only do we skip it, but we have warped its meaning into just a large feast and we think nothing else of it when we do think about Thanksgiving. So let us be abnormal Americans and let us give thanks for what we have this year at least.

Digging Through Memories

I was looking through some old lyrics and poems I wrote and I though to myself "what happened between now and then?". They showed some level of genius that I feel I have lost now. In a way it makes me sad but I think I'll be able to build it all back up (fingers crossed). Here's and example:

Life is a musical symphony,
Perfectly orchestrated by God.
Everything He intentionally planned
And we are the musicians playing it.

Sometimes I impress myself with the metaphors and similes I create! I hope that at college, I can work on these gifts God has given me and not let them go to waste.

Bloggers's Writer's Block Over!

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. There wasn't a lot of material to blog about for a long time. But now there is!
Yesterday I was channel surfing and I came across a rock concert. I thought to myself: "sure, what the heck, there probably is nothing better on!" so I stuck around and was shocked to recognize Andy(drummer for Fall Out Boy)'s back-weird how I recognized him from the back, but he does have a unique and somewhat frightening tattoo on it. I decided to continue watching to see if they improved on their selling-out. They didn't. They were not even themselves it seemed: the stage acts were toned down to walking around for the most part, Patrick and Pete seemed bored, and even Andy's drumming was less flingy. After the concert, Pete said that he would like to that PBS for letting them do the concert and I though to myself "Whoa, did he just say PBS? only bands that didn't make it or old bands play for them!" Right about then I came to an epiphany and the puzzle pieces came together: Fall Out Boy is no longer who they were in their peak. They are on the downward-fall-off-the-backside-of-the-hill most newer bands seem to be doing nowadays. ...I wonder how long they'll still be around.

For Those of You who Don't Like Change

-No, this is not political-

Today, i stopped by Wendy's to get some food after school. I had only five dollars to spend. So I decided to get a double stack off the value menu, a large fry, and a small drink. The total ended up being just 5 dollars exactly! I think i'm going to start playing the lotto now.
